How Lead Enters Tap Water
Lead enters Tulsa home’s drinking water through a chemical reaction that occurs within plumbing materials containing lead. This chemical reaction is known as corrosion and involves the gradual dissolution or wearing away of metal from the pipes and fixtures, ultimately releasing lead particles into the water supply.
